Contributor of the Johnstown, PA based artist collective My Idea of Fun, Brandon Locher preps "It Happens Outside" by The Meets for a 12" vinyl release in early 2013. The sound college ensemble consist of 20 musicians playing and sampling acoustic and electronic instruments in various physical spaces, to create a newly developed and understood animation of space. The listed ensemble performed in groupings, over the span of three years to create this new original full-length release. Constructed in a similar manor, The Meets - 1 [MIF057], was the first official collaboration and release from the project back in March of 2008.
In the Summer of 2012 The Meets ensemble will start performing live and continue making recordings in various spaces and concert-variations to explore new-music ideas with highlighting live-performance and promotion of "It Happens Outside" material throughout the year.
My Idea of Fun is an artist collective based out of Johnstown, PA. With roughly 30-40 contributors, My Idea of Fun, has releases in various media including CDs, photos books, novels, vinyl, websites, fine-art, and digital downloads. Brandon Locher was born on May 8, 1985 in Johnstown, PA. One of My Idea of Fun's leading contributors, Brandon Locher, is a recording and visual artist who has been active since 2006. With over 50+ releases under various monikers and collaborative projects: The Meets, Nan Ding, Emmett and Mary, Siamese Dream, Endless Mike and the Beagle Club, etc...
